AuditBoard: Building Out a Vision
As the director of events at Auditboard, Stefanie Lukowski oversees the execution of Auditboard’s user conferences, virtual events, field events, sponsored events, and large-scale user gatherings. Her team moved the annual user conference, Audit & Beyond, to RainFocus, for the increased support, customization, and data that was unavailable from previous providers.
Audit & Beyond brings together over 1,500 in-person and 10,000 virtual audit, risk, and infosec leaders to learn from over 40 sessions across four content tracks. From her very first call with RainFocus, Stefanie felt confident the team would receive plenty of expert support. She learned that with RainFocus, her team had multiple support members dedicated to helping her build out her vision. To help her get started, the customer success team provided input guides designed to show teams how to maximize their use of the RainFocus platform. Each guide included step-by-step instructions and images to help them envision their event when all desired features and parameters were applied.
“There are so many different tools you can use in the platform, and at first, it’s hard to grasp all that is possible. Having the options clearly outlined along the way has been super helpful.” — Stefanie Lukowski, Director of Events, AuditBoard
Workday: Adding New Integrations and Enhancements
As the director of event technology at Workday, Chris Morse specializes in increasing team efficiency. Chris was first introduced to RainFocus at his previous company, where he learned how to use the platform to power events. At Workday, he partners with RainFocus to unify his company’s digital marketing and events, including its premier user conference, Workday Rising, which takes place in North America and EMEA.
In 2024, Chris used RainFocus meeting programs for the first time. He and his team were challenged to deliver seven different meeting programs for their North America event and six in EMEA. Fortunately, the RainFocus support team walked them through how to structure, schedule, and approve meetings. They also integrated the meeting data into Marketo to provide stakeholders with customer intelligence.
“The way that we are able to attribute revenue, pipeline, and open opportunities with RainFocus is a real game-changer. This helps us identify which contacts we want to prioritize on-site.” — Chris Morse, Director of Event Technology, Workday
Regular Follow-Up and Improvements
In the months leading up to their events, Auditboard and Workday had bi-weekly and sometimes weekly meetings with their RainFocus support teams to ensure all of their needs were met and event planning progress remained on track. As the RainFocus project managers and solution consultants worked with them to build out their events, the CSMs kept them up to date on the latest product enhancements and opportunities. Throughout the year, the client success teams collaborated with RainFocus product teams for ongoing alignment with their needs.
“What I love about the RainFocus platform is that you get an out-of-the-box solution and also a team that will help you configure things to make it work the way that works best for you and your team.” — Stefanie Lukowski, AuditBoard
“A lot of the enhancement requests we made have since been released as opportunities. I definitely feel heard.” — Chris Morse, Workday
Looking Forward
The Auditboard and Workday teams both plan to expand their usage of RainFocus in 2025. Stefanie says she is excited to iterate and improve her company’s annual user conference and leverage RainFocus’ year-over-year reporting. She has already begun conversations with her customer success team about how to build more customized experiences for attendees.
Meanwhile, Chris looks forward to working closely with RainFocus customer success to further enhance Workday’s meeting programs after the initial success.
“The main thing we’re looking forward to — now that we’ve spent all this time configuring and building our event out — is copying it and making it better.” — Stefanie Lukowski, AuditBoard
