Getting Started With RainFocus
Posit::conf requires intricate configuration to meet the unique needs of so many attendees. The need for greater flexibility initially led Posit to RainFocus. After years of working with patchwork solutions, the company wanted a true all-in-one solution for their event.

Posit held their first event with RainFocus in 2023. With the support of their project management team, Posit created an event template that they can now modify and improve upon each year to save time.

Posit 2024: Taking the Attendee Experience to the Next Level
Reducing attendee help requests was a primary focus of posit::conf(2024). The team wanted to create an intuitive scheduling process so attendees could add and remove workshops from their agenda or join side events as desired. Together, RainFocus and Posit made all of this possible through the conference Attendee Portal. Attendees experienced a seamless scheduling experience meanwhile, the rules that had been set up before the event ensured no session was ever overbooked.
With RainFocus’ speedy badge printers and check-in kiosks attendees were able to get into the event quickly and begin engaging in sessions. At check-in Posit provided attendees with buttons they could attach to their badge to indicate their personal comfort level with hugs, handshakes, and other greetings. This meaningful gesture created a warm welcome for all those who joined on-site.

Reporting for All
As a result of simplifying their attendee experience, Posit significantly reduced the number of help requests they received. The event team also used RainFocus reporting to track other goals, such as increasing in-person and virtual registration, workshop attendance, and total revenue. Stakeholders who were watching the event closely tracked attendee agendas with automated reports, including workshop reports that allowed instructors to better plan for room capacity. Having a single platform for all of their reporting allows Posit to optimize their attendee experience each year and plan events that allow them to build more meaningful relationships with their customers.
