Every year, Adobe holds a Government Forum where government leaders, policymakers, and industry experts exchange ideas and discuss the latest trends and innovations in digital transformation, citizen engagement, and cybersecurity. This year, it was bigger than ever, with nearly 700 attendees in Washington, DC and more than 400 virtual attendees, each with a unique set of concerns and interests. A customer data-centric solution


This year, Adobe’s Public Sector Solutions Consulting team gained new insights into attendees’ preferences before, during, and after the event by combining real-time customer profile data from Adobe Real-Time Customer Data Platform (RTCDP) with real-time data from RainFocus, a next-generation event platform that captures and analyzes attendee data for exceptional events and optimized customer engagement. They did this quickly using the RainFocus Adobe Source Connector, which required only minimal customization for the Government team’s use case.


The integration ensured event-related communications were consistent with customer privacy and communication preferences stored in Adobe RTCDP—and allowed Adobe to recommend sessions and activities for individual attendees based on their profiles. At the same time, data captured at every stage of the event lifecycle was used to inform ongoing marketing efforts.


Show and tell


The integration was so successful that it was used as the basis for live customer demos to onsite attendees who asked to learn more about using data to improve events. It showed attendees the power of using Adobe RTCDP to segment and manage audiences in ways that comply with privacy, security, and governance policies. It also illustrated that respecting attendees’ privacy and providing personalized service are not mutually exclusive.The results—profiles, leads, and more.

With the RainFocus Adobe Source Connector, Adobe’s Government team was able to create comprehensive profiles for all Forum attendees that were updated in real time and provided on-demand recommendations. By the close of the event, Forum participants had collectively attended more than 1,012 sessions—a significant increase from last year—and exhibitors had collected 1,328 new leads.
