Building Upon Past Workflows

For SKO and Innovate, Trimble repurposed workflows built for Dimensions, saving time and creating a seamless event experience. The team needed to make minor changes for each event to suit its nuances. Universal workflows also made it easier to quickly implement improvements across all events to increase attendee personalization and engagement.

Refining Attendee, Speaker, and Exhibitor Experiences

Despite the different audiences attending Dimensions, Innovate, and the SKO, the Trimble team created optimized experiences with only minor adjustments to the attendee, speaker, and exhibitor portals they had already set up for Dimensions. This reuse allowed for consistent and effective event management, ensuring that all their events ran smoothly and provided an ideal attendee experience. “Having customizable portals allows us to guide attendees through setting up their sessions and connecting with speakers and exhibitors for whichever event they are attending,” says Dan. 

Partnering for an Effective On-Site Experience 

As Trimble’s partnership with RainFocus expanded, the organization saw increasing benefits during both pre-event planning and on-site event execution. Before Dimensions, Trimble used the RainFocus platform to schedule emails sent to attendees to gather information for a quicker check-in experience. During the event setup, RainFocus experts offered practical advice on how to guide attendees through the space most efficiently. RainFocus also supplied essential equipment, such as Surface Pros with embedded QR code scanners that sped up registration. Even small adjustments to registration processes and hardware significantly reduced lines and wait time.

Confidence in the Future

A track record of successfully delivering three unique events with RainFocus has given Trimble the confidence to explore new experiences for their attendees and further experiences. The team plans to continue collaborating with their RainFocus team to make their events more manageable to navigate from their event mobile app. Their new multi-event container app will house evergreen content from several events and incorporate gamification to increase attendee engagement.
