Effortless Registration Experience

Zenith Live 2023 — hosted in Berlin and Las Vegas — brought together thousands of attendees from across Europe and the U.S., respectively. The Zscaler team needed to manage several different attendee types, promo codes, and comp codes, so their event platform needed to be sophisticated enough to direct every attendee to the right registration experience. RainFocus enabled attendee segmentation in ways the team had never experienced: For example, they could charge for pre-event training sessions separately from general event ticketing and provide identified VIPs with free travel and accommodations. All registration workflows worked harmoniously to provide attendees with a smooth experience.

“Having registration in place and being able to put on this event smoothly with our website makes an impact — and makes it easier for other teams in our company.”  – Taylor Robertson, Global Events Specialist, Zscaler

Sharing Event Value Across the Organization

Another key benefit of RainFocus was the event data that Zscaler could easily with internal teams for greater visibility and tracking toward organizational goals. The data aided with planning by helping the sales team determine which reps should attend each event. Post-event, it gave marketing and sales valuable information for fueling their pipelines and helped executives measure event ROI. With RainFocus, Zscaler’s sales managers examined which accounts registered for the event and how those accounts are engaged in sessions, and tracked other on-site activities directly from Salesforce.

Flawless On-Site Execution

With their previous event technologies, Zscaler had struggled with mobile app instability, affecting the on-site event experience. In 2023, with the RainFocus mobile app, they experienced zero downtime and enhanced their on-site reporting with RainFocus scanning devices. The scanning devices tracked breakout session attendance, exhibitor visits and, for the first time, community zone visits. Seeing who stopped by their community zones enabled Zscaler to set goals for the future. In addition, the data showed that for both the Berlin and Las Vegas events, Zenith Live attendees attended three times more sessions than the industry average.

“Session scanning was great. It was quick and easy, and access control for our training sessions was especially important.” – Taylor Robertson, Global Events Specialist, Zscaler

Increased Productivity Year-Over-Year

Zscaler continues to find greater efficiency and success with each use of the RainFocus platform. Thanks to repeatable workflows and processes, the team has sped up event implementations and added new enhancements. For Zenith Live 2024, Zscaler has deployed additional features and integrations to improve the attendee, speaker, and exhibitor experiences.

“All of that legwork we did last year is already there — which is super nice! We’re already ahead of the game with our exhibitor resource center launch. We even launched registration earlier this year.” – Taylor Robertson, Global Events Specialist, Zscaler
