RainFocus INSIGHT 2024: Event Recap and What’s Next

“The face-to-face interaction was invaluable,” attendees said over and over about RainFocus INSIGHT 2024, which recently wrapped in Salt Lake City. With a robust event program featuring keynotes, track sessions, and networking opportunities, INSIGHT 2024 brought members of the events industry together and provided expert guidance. Here’s a recap: 

INSIGHT Premiere and Preparation

Before the main event, INSIGHT Premiere and INSIGHT Preparation give attendees all the information they need for a successful on-site experience and provide a preview of the valuable content to come. The highlight of the Premiere event was a conversation between Brian Gates (RainFocus SVP of industry strategy) and two industry thought leaders, Michele Cole from Esri and Erica Spoor from Freeman. The experts discussed top industry trends, including budgeting and engaging customers through the entire event lifecycle.

The INSIGHT Conference

The main INSIGHT conference, held in Salt Lake City and online, kicked off with a keynote led by RainFocus president Doug Baird and our CEO JR Sherman. Doug and JR illustrated how Adobe and RainFocus have worked together this past year to create a single source for customer data across digital and experiential touchpoints. In addition, they shared how RainFocus enables the entire revenue team (sales, marketing, and services) to form relationships. 

After the opening session, attendees had a wealth of opportunities to learn. This year, we had over 65 sessions, including keynotes, breakouts, sponsored demos, panels, peer discussions, and workshops. Attendees met with old friends, discovered new products and solutions, and built their networks. The most popular sessions included discussions of innovative ways to personalize attendee experiences, use cases for AI, and new ways to optimize the RainFocus platform. Gift redemption was also a hit at INSIGHT this year. Our prize wheel gave attendees the chance to win a variety of coveted RainFocus items, including a Stanley mug, t-shirt, planner, and custom-made hat.

INSIGHT Encore

Finally, the INSIGHT event program concluded with our annual Encore event. Rodney Hart, RainFocus VP of events, discussed several keys to success, including how the team used AI to analyze 12,222 words of written feedback from attendees. He also showed how creating a distinct virtual and in-person experience increased INSIGHT’s Net Promoter Score, as well as how a change in gamification from a leaderboard strategy to a points system significantly increased engagement.
